The full size Mspa Super Camaro B-150 is the highest selling inflatable spa on today’s market, closely followed by the smaller Camaro B-130. The versatile Camaro series are designed for both indoor and outdoor use and are renowned for their light weight construction while remaining as durable as the heavier and harder to transport Luxury Exotic B-151 model, and miles ahead of the rest. With the pending release of the Castello Series to compliment the Camaro and provide a colour option a little more resilient to the sun than black, Mspa Australia has specifically selected their range ideally suited to the Australian market, for many reasons.
The Luxury exotic model features the “quite overdone” synthetic crocodile skin outer casing made from the same synthetic leather as the Camaro and Castello models. The B-151 Luxury Exotic is often misquoted by other sellers proclaiming “a thicker and more durable material”, however it is quite logical that the fabric is only thicker in the raised part of the textured finish, leaving the material between the texture to define its strength…a chain is only as strong as its weakest link! The different surface levels amongst the textured finish on the Luxury Exotic provides a catchment for dirt and the imitation cracks that create the croc skin effect are prone to further genuine cracking if exposed in various weather conditions, making the Luxury Exotic models harder to keep clean, heavier to carry, and not as suitable for outdoor use as the versatile top selling Super Camaro and Camaro.
The budget Silver Cloud B-110 model released through Bunning’s is clearly an entry level model and is based on the earlier technology from approximately 5 years ago, being the externally mounted pump box. The pump box was in later years moved to an internal position located in the wall of the spa to reduce lengthy set up procedures manually connecting hoses and clamps at 6 points, and drastically removing the risk of subsequent water leaks. The externally mounted box was also was quite noisy until it was moved to the insulated pocket inside the wall of later models and again risked further water leaks from cracked hoses or connections from someone tripping over or knocking the external box that is inconveniently located on the ground beside the spa with the control panel out of reach.
The Aqua Spa and Lay-z-Spa are in no way comparable to the Mspa and judging by the lack of dealer listings on their website and no recognition by the Swimming Pool And Spa Association, they appear to have not yet been accepted or retailed by the swimming pool and spa industry. We have personally sat both products side by side with Mspa and recommend viewing these models in the flesh before considering a purchase. (100,000 Mspa sales world wide speaks for itself!) SpaSales highly recommends that all safety certification be clearly confirmed before purchase and attention paid to the background of the seller to ensure they are not a backyard eBay retailer, clearance house for discontinued products, or simply an inexperienced seller hiding behind a flashy website.
